Who is Awaken the North?
Awaken the North is an international non-profit group of Universalist Heathens who have united in solidarity and frith to honor the Norse Pantheon. We are a community of Heathens, Norse pagans, Ásatrúar, and like-minded individuals who desire to learn and grow in our faith, dedicated to the worship and veneration of the Old Gods. We accept people from all walks of life regardless of differences, and we embrace our uniqueness and celebrate the uniqueness of others. With a Zero Hate tolerance policy, Awaken the North will not stand for racism, bigotry, or xenophobia of any kind. Our aim is to create a safe space for all to learn, grow, and support each other on our spiritual walks through Heathenry.
Awaken the North focuses on learning and building local communities, both online and offline. We are not simply another online social club. We are toes in the dirt, get our hands muddy, light a bonfire, dance around, and praise the old Gods’ coalition of local grass-roots organizations working on making the world a better place!

We focus on teaching our members Heathen knowledge so they can spread that knowledge to others and create a learning community!

How can I help support Awaken the North?
Awaken the North is a family and we are dedicated to helping each other grow. The only way we are able to accomplish this is through the generous financial support of our members. Every single one of our Council, Chairs, and support staff are purely VOLUNTEERS. Not a single person benefits financially from any funds within Awaken the North. Even Beast, the Leader, doesn’t get a dime. All funds are directed back into Awaken the North to pay for the website, buy supplies, help support our members, etc.
